Charlie Elphicke MP had a busy schedule last weekend but managed to find time to drop in to David and Linda Hannent's Garden Party in Castle St. Straight away all the girls started to flirt with him outrageously, totally shocking of course... tut tut you girls! but it was all ab fab as it gave yours truly an opportunity to snap the glorious picture above. Colette Boland on the left doing all the flirting, Charlie laughing merrily centre, and Linda Hannent watching on in wild amusement. And now for the rest of the pictures, here we go....
Starting with ace forumites of long standing..Peter Garstin of Blakes in Castle St left enjoying the nibbles, centre...Lord of all he surveys District Councillor and now President of Deal Rotary Club, David Hannent, who was the party hoster extraordinaire, next to him is Cllr Chris Precious...all enjoying themselves. Pic on right shows party hostess herself Linda Hannent, next to Linda is former Mayor Cllr Bob Markham, then forumite of many years previously and now just rejoined Alison Trethewey, last but not least is Ted Smith on the righthandside.
Oh no...! a rogues gallery here for sure. left is the ever popular forumite with the waggish wit Brian Dixon, then top man and ace blogger Barry Williams, then that rascal Ian Lillford himself, then Barry Wadsworth-Smith fresh in from his country estate, and then visitor from the Emerald Isle Joe Dodd....who is ColetteB's brother. All drinking too...shouldnt be allowed! Picture right shows the Labour contingent with Brian again, making sure he is in all the shots, then legendary leftie and former councillor Keith Sansum, then former Labour Mayor Cllr Jan Tranter...then yours truly, editor in chief..he of the dazzling white beard! Ooh I say!
Here come the girls: stand back from this formidable lot. Irish Visitor Liz Dodd holding firmly onto her plate of nibbles, in the background Alison Trethewey,then Linda Hannent, Colette Boland, in the background Una Mills, in the foreground Jan Tranter...and to the right you can see young Brian once again.
Dont know who the chap on the left here is but in centre of picture is another forumite and local entrepreneur(have I spelt that right!) Tony Jayms and on right in the flame red Elaine Mitchell wife to Thomas Guzzler Mitchell who was also at the event. Picture right shows tip top forumite and pillar of the community Ian Lillford getting up close to Una Mills.
