some thoughts

Having spent the first 4 years of my life living at Buckland House I am extremely happy that the property is finally being developed!  The style of architecture may not be to liking of all but it is certainly an improvement over what was happening previously.  In my memory it was a wonderful place to live when my grandfather, James D. Gordon, was Mill Manager. It was vibrant, full of family, friends and international guests. Tennis and lawn bowling were some of the various activities of participation and the gardens were beautiful.  The greenhouses were full of wonderful plants, flowers and tasty grapes!  Hopefully the property will include some careful landscaping and multi-use areas that the residents can enjoy.  I look forward to seeing what is happening as time moves on and will enjoy hearing your thoughts and comments.
