Quite a sad event at white hart lane yesterday in spurs clash with Bolton wanderers
where one of the bolton players(aged just 23) had a heart attack on the pitch
and the game had to be called off.
The player remains in a critical condition in a london heart hospital.
good wishes to this player and his family.
was nice to watch the players of both sides rallying together once it became known and the fans from both side also rallying together
shows in these times even at that level players and supporters have concerns and rally together, its such ununsual thing to happen, and wish him well

Yes quite a shocking story this. He fell down with nobody near him and without any attempt at protecting his fall, so the fellow players knew it was something out of the ordinary and tragic.
Hopefully he will make a full recovery. This kind of thing does happen more than you might think...extraordinary as the players are so fit, maybe they push themselves too far.

It was said that the player in question was part of England's under 21 squad so was well known to players in other teams.
This may at least lead to more thorough regular physicals. While I too wish him well, this is certain to concentrate the minds of other youthful sports persons.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

i suspect that there may be an underlying heart problem which has never been detected.
happened a few times before, hopefully he will pull through.

The football world is a family, despite the bad press it gets, and that showed yesterday with the genuine sorrow at the plight of the young man. To come out of this will be his biggest triumph and we can hope and pray he does. Thank God there was such brilliant medical care on hand and such a specialist heart hospital nearby.
