In my "AA" Magazine which came today,Dover is in one of them and the route is a very good one,in it they also tell you all about the places this route will take you,and there is a map with it.
The route begins in the Buttermarket,Canterbury then it tells you to go on the a28 to Chartham,Wye. Ashford, right down to Rye,Camber, New Rommey, Dymchurch on to Folkestone, Hawkinge, in to our Dover,St Margaret,s at cliffe round to Deal ,Sandwich,on to littlebourne back into Canterbury.
A photo of the East Cliffe end of Dover seafront.
It tell you all the A roads you need to go on. There are some very ggood writes up of all the Towns etc but the best one I think is about Dover,it tells about the Famous white cliffs, and that Dover is the chief Cinque, and the name of Dover was as we all know now Dubris by the Romans, it also goes on to talk about the Roman painted house, and paintings, the old town gaol, Grand Shaft, the Castle and lots more.
There is a AA book out called the Best Drives in Britain cost £11.99 so there will be lots of the public reading this and coming down to do that route in the summer weeks,GREAT it all helps.
