  Very hard to believe that so long has passed since that day.
  
  I was asleep (after working my usual night shift) and was woken by a frenzied voice on the phone telling me to put the b****y telly on and stay at home.......I was still watching dumbstruck as the second plane impacted when I received a more officail call from work warning me in no uncertain terms to come in and report to my usual place of work, but not to park in the basement car park - whatever difference that would have made!!
  
  Never had such an emotionally charged night (as I was fire and bomb/health and safety/first-aider for my shift at that time).
  
  RIP all who lost their lives at that time (including all the emergency services who attended).
