... I refer to the Labour parliamentary candidate with that old fashioned description as I cannot see anything more appropriate.
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/bint
She wants Dover Port to be privatised and is against the communitisation of the Port via The People's Port.
Now I have nothing personally against privatisation but I do believe that the People's Port offers a better option for Dover and the Port and deserves all the support it can muster. Simply because it has, for the town, the advantages - plus some more, of the benefits of privatisation with none of the negative aspects.
This silly woman must realise the People's Port is the only way an eventual privatisation can be stopped, kill the People's Port and privatisation will be inevitable.
She will certainly go the same way as the last woman Labour candidate Dover had, though this time I won't be playing the same role in her downfall

gets ever more confusing as clair has stated her support for a community port up until now which would mean the port putting something back into the town once trust rules are amended.
different to the people's port admittedly but the waters get ever more muddy when charlie demanded a referendum on a "community" port.
words are important here as most in the town are still not clear who would be of most benefit to dover.

Barryw
the waters are very muddy
the peoples port is a form of privatisation as you have admitted in earlier posts but full scale privatisation as you say not quite that far.
I have my disagreements with the labour candidate, but shes probably seen that the peoples port may not be the full answer

here is what clair actually wrote - this is all about electioneering rather than the port with both charlie and clair making the same accusations against each other.

I still predict the govt will decide a combination of the running of the port to be jointly with
DHB and the peoples port

i have no idea how it will end up if indeed it ever does, just saddened that our honourable member and potential honourable member use the port as a stick to beat each other with in the race for votes.
a lot of livelihoods depend on port operations, the continuing uncertainty is unfair on them.

The original post is way off the mark, where is the reference to Clair wanting the Port privatised? far from it in fact.

Martin - you say that but is she being honest? The simple fact is that if you kill off the People's Port the next time, there will be a next time, privatisation comes up the People's Port will no longer be around so the way to a sale to the French or Chinese will be open. Remember - it was a Labour government that was about to sell the Port when they lost the election and it was Charlie pushing this alternative to new Ministers who stopped that sale going through after the election.

I don't understand anyone's confusion.
Dave's mate Charlie and the delightful Claire can say what they like in the run up to an election. They can change their mind, deny saying something, and blame it something else totally unrelated. This is how potential and current MPs train for the future, just in case they get elected, then they can go back on their word anyway, They can't lose really.
Is there a lib dem candidate, or are they too ashamed to join in the fun and games ?

there is a yellow flag flyer, not meant to be taken seriously though as they have no track record in this constituency and will concentrate their efforts to folkestone and hythe.
in 2010 they parachuted someone in here at the last minute.
