As I said in a previous posting Sue spoke against this in a well constructed and forceful arguement, she lost and was no doubt angry, and no one likes losing, and I am sure she thought about chucking it in,as we have all done at times. But Sue represents her people, and mixes with people from all over the district, she has the people of River on her side and will always do what she thinks is best even if her collegues views differ.
Now the dust has settled and it is down to the planning comittee she has done what she can,and who knows she may be right, and will not resign as she takes her Councillors job at River and as Cabinet member very seriously and the only way she will stop is when they carry her off in a box, even then I think she would be fighting her corner.
Sue and I are politically opposite, but I have the greatest respect for her and what she does, sometimes I think the attacks on her are unfair but she is a strong willed woman, and I wouldn't fancy meeting her in a dark alley.I do not critise other Cllrs because I know how hard some/most of them work, and Sue for a lady in her mid 50's! ?does more than most.Don't have a go at someone unless you can do better than them.
