    You're absolutely right, Howard. Conjunctions are common currency at the start of sentences these days, particularly in journalism under certain style guidelines. Simply speaking, they often make sentences read better, imbuing them with a more modern, conversational tone - so long as they're not overused, I find. It's all about communication, innit?!

    And I went to Dover Grammar - so there!
