Very cynically, and talking from another school in Sandwich, I noted that one of Our parents complained that the pupils of another school in Sandwich were elitist and should 'realise that other students had talents'.
My initial comment to the class was 'so what, they can breathe''

Very nice too Bob, but I was expecting to see a windmill or a field being ploughed by a pair of horses.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

The boy playing the lead has a lovely voice. I wonder if he can act as well, if so he has the chance of a future theatrical career. Good luck to them all not all children are academic.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Unfortunately unless he can do hard sums and write decent English the guy's chances of employment are approaching zero!
That just isn't true Bob. He will need a 2:1 to even get considered for an interview.
