A programme to watch on ITV3 Wednesday night.
Not superstars or Celebs, just normal people doing their jobs.
All in the wrong place at the right time, not asking for thanks, doing what any normal person would do in a so called situation and thanking colleagues for their support.
WELL DONE BOYS AND GIRLS. You deserve every single one of those awards.

Hmmn, glad I missed this one. Another television spectacular of no consequence which serves as an infill between adverts.
Better off watching the equally tedious David Attenborough or red nose day or other such pap for all the difference it makes.
God I love hating Complan TV.

But it was a way of publicly recognising the bravery of our armed forces Philip and individuals in it.
All sorts of departments and branches represented and there's no doubt these guys and girls perform feats of outstanding bravery.
They are only a sample of course - they all deserve a special mention.

It was an interesting, inspiring and very moving programme and I am glad I saw it.

Ian I fully support our armed forces. Have done for years. Brave men and women sadly let down by governments of all persuasions and the MOD.
However what amounts to no more than sports personality of the year for serving personnel (another awful programme - oxymoron: sportsman and personality) is merely a convenient way for the great and the good and invited z-listers to bask in the reflective glory of courageous young men.
The sight of pop stars lining up on the red carpet to be photographed by the papz was slightly sickening.
I find it strange that criticizing a television programme should provoke such a negative reaction. After all that's all it is, a television programme. The equivalent of tomorrow's chip paper.
Mind you my views on the multi-million pound Attenboroughfest in the polar wilderness didn't go down too well either.

I enjoyed that series too - very much in fact. The scenery was amazing and quality just superb.

Totally cheapened by the celebrities who were completely unnecessary.

I hate this dam war and want out lads and lassies home but Peter I cannot agree with you over the Heroes Programme, yes celebrities are there but in many cases these are celebrities that those getting the awards admire themselves. Anyway the programme brings home and gives total respect for what our service personnel are doing over there, the risks they take for others and the injuries a good many are coming back with.
Without such a programme all we would hear about sadly are those that have made that final sacrifice, we would never get to know about the devastating injuries many have to live with for the rest of their lives. I just wonder what the total figure is of those maimed for life because of military service in this war which is why the programme must continue.
God bless them all and bring them home safely and the more TV coverage they get the better it may just make people think about why they are out there at all. Remember we can all thankfully have an opinion sat behind a computer key board.
