    Have bumped "The Port Privatisation Thread" back up the top as the figures quoted are all the same as for the new idea of a People's Port. The Dover Express article states "The People's Port would be owned by a community trust - made up of local representatives - which would lease the port to an operator. It could be sold to local residents in "Dovorian bonds", says the MP."

    All we need to do is to find somewhere in the region of £500,000,000 between us and the port is ours. I have made a start by printing up some Dovorian bonds in full colour with curly writing saying "I promise to pay the bearer on demand the sum of one million pounds," and will forward all sums received to the community trust when it is set up. You are free to purchase as many as you feel that you can afford, in multiples of one million pounds.

    No timewasters please.
