  Very interesting pictures Ed well done with those. I think Chris might be right..the ropes might be safer than the building as I remember the way chunks of concrete used to fall off it at one time. ..thundering haplessly down onto Townwall St. Whoops there goes another one! The ropes no doubt will be of Mount Everest quality so should be pretty safe. But yes its a brave geezer that tries that for an afternoons entertainment...and of course many do. Its a good way come to think of it, of exiting from the Gateway's 9th floor at a full pelt, without resorting to the very ordinary lift. Shoks awaaaaaaaay!!
