  Marek, that is a clear reference to the BNP use of Armed Forces imagary, they have also in the past tried hijacking Churchill and the Union Flag and must not get away with it.
  
  Ken - the only way would be by force, invasion, air strikes etc against a friendly Government. We need a stable and friendly Pakistan as a bulwark against the Taliban.
  
  Howard - we are there because of the need to have a stable pro-west Government in Afghanistan. Were we and the rest of NATO to pull out then the Taliban would seize power and Afghanistan would revert to a training camp for terrorists. The Taliban campaign to destabilise Pakistan would also be boosted placing their nuclear arsenal at risk of falling into the hands of terrorists. Then, of course the anti-western terrorists would take heart and step up their campaign to destroy western culture and extend Sharia law to the west. Afghanistan is the front line in this fight and we cannot afford to lose and if that means propping up a corrupt Government and training their army until they can take over then so be it.
