    I agree. It would be a tragic waste if we pulled out before stabilising the region - those lads and lasses out there know why they are there, and we should support that. If we pull out before the region is self supporting and defensible we simply allow the taloban and al quaeda to fill the vacuum we would leave. Our streets would be even less secure than they were before. This is about the Afghans, for sure, but it is about our safety in the main.
