he and a group of adventurous youngsters have managed to go up mount killimanjaro(excuse spelling).
i asked barry why he had not posted this achievement on here and he muttered something about not wishing to brag.

Barry I bet you're proud of him and speaking as one who has praised her own son on here in the past (for his success at power lifting) I think you should have said. Personally I don't think it would be bragging at all - merely justified pride in a young persons' achievement.

BB told me all about Alex's Kilamanjaro adventure last week while we were sojourning in Le Touquet. Funny innit...The offspring of Labourites and Tories in perfect harmony lol!!

But a huge well done to Alex. Yes Jacqui is right there, there is an awful lot of excellent youngsters out there, Alex is one.

Here is a pic of him on top of Kilamanjaro with his mates who were the first of his group to get there after a very hard last leg done in the dark in the wind and ice.

By the way, it was his 19th birthday on Saturday 14th....
