  All the comments so far show support for this (Ozzie) approach and particularly pertinent is Ian's "When in Rome".
  
  I can't believe we allow ourselves and our troops to be denegrated so much by people who come to this country (whether legally or illegally) because they can't do that self same thing in their own country.
  
  People who are not with us, must be against us; people who are against us, shouldn't be here: live by our laws and rules or simply don't live here.
  There's nothing racist in that, just common sense.
  
  Carrying on with their own religion and culture is not a problem, in fact the diversity can enrich our society, but our own established customs, laws and religion must be respected.
