Ah golly and gosh Keef Im sorry I missed you. Always like to bump into you. At that point in proceedings I may have been focusing on getting a Burger and a cold drink...and indeed I did. Burger £2.30, cold drink 70p. I think the chaired arena where I had it was run by The Churchill Hotel as it had Best Western all over the stand. The burger was very substantial but a tad cold...it was a tad colder than the drink...whoops who said that!? No seriously it wasnt really. Burger would be recommended if they could manage to keep the thing a bit warmer before they give it to you as its a good size for hungry Horaces. I saw Howard earlier and had chat when on my way to photograph the flag raising ceremony
I hope you enjoyed your smoothy Keef. I saw there was a Smoothy Bar...oooh you smooth thing you!

The smoothy was lovely and a great day
All finished off by a lovely meal at the allotment(opposite town hall)
don't want to sound like a critic but i was a lovely meal all well presented, you do have to be patient as it takes a time to cook"! and the cost is a little higher than most.
but once the meal was on table (sorry plate lol) it was lovely, then had to have a pudding to!!
now im going to sit on patio with a few beers
whilst the sun goes down

did anyone else think that the snack prices were much lower than at the bleriot weekend?
i had a hot dog on arrival for £.1.50. proper sausage too, not the usual junk, then a carte d'or cornet again for £.1.50.
no complaints there.
the german sausage van was serving up some good looking fayre too for a reasonable price.

Yes Howard, I did think food and drink was more expensive on the Bleriot week-end.
Different stall-holders I guess - and less greedy ones too, probably made more money as they would have sold a lot more too.

i checked out the beer sellers and snack places this afternoon.
in my opinion they were all reasonable for an outdoor event, they have extra expenses and take a chance with the weather being right.
good luck to them if they made a bit of money this weekend.
the stalls from mainland europe were reasonable too, considering their costs in getting here.
