    Left or right, if humour is used to keep people in their place, it has no place in the political world of today. And I have to say, pragmatically, it usually is the right that appreciates the humour of the oppressors. Not to say all right wingers are oppressors, just that it is the natural home of that kind of humour. Left wingers historically and typically enjoy taking the mickey out of the oppressors...........

    On a personal note, I would rather suck out my own spleen than listen to jim Davidson for more than an nanosecond.
