, but have just read the following and thought why are we giving aid to Russia and China in the first place, complete madness in my opinion.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

If it it is being stopped to these countries it does not follow that the total amount of aid is being reduced.
Russia and China certainly should not receive aid. Not sure about the situation in Iraq now, the reconstruction may be done and oil revenues flowing so stopping it there may also be right. India - an interesting one that, they have some very poor areas, some of the poorest in the world and yet they can afford a space programme.... - Jan Higgins

27 February 2011 13:5094426I was not sure about Iraq either that was why I did not include them, although they are not exactly a poor country but after the war possibly need some help. Russia and China have a thriving economy, India has a lot of very poor but it also has some very rich as do so many countries claiming poverty. No country that can afford or even waste money on a space programme needs our aid.-----------------------------------------------------------------------
