Thats interesting John..I spoke to a passenger myself today. The sickness broke out almost immediately and they were once again almost immediately confined to their cabins for up to 6 days. This passenger I met today went with his wife, told me he knew that one single Irish man, who they became friendly with, paid £3,800 for the trip ( 70% supplement for being single) so it was dire value for money... and thats a lot of money. The gym was closed, the swimming pool was closed, and so on and so on...even after the recreational areas became accessible again the salt and pepper were removed from tables for fear of cross contamination. On top of all that they had a Force 10 in the Bay of Biscay. And so it went on til the end...total nightmare. Mike Webb was still toughing it out til the end I believe.
The company are not sympathetic nor are they admitting to any kind of liability as I understand it. They claim act of god or similar...but as a gesture of goodwill have offered 15% off your next cruise. Bet they all snatched that offer up
