    Could not agree more Sid about scrapping May Day, there are too many holidays compressed into a very short period in the spring while the Autumn has none.... So yes, Trafalgar Day in October to replace May Day.

    Like you other ideas too but perhaps the calender could manage just one more to encompass most of those, how about 'Bash the Frog leg eating surrender monkies Day'?
