So, England are to go to the World Cup Finals later this year and the tv coverage of our national team, by our national broadcaster is to include:
Jurgen Klinsmann - German
Gordon Strachan - Scottish
Mark Lawrenson - Irish
Clarence Seedorf - Dutch
Emmanuel Adebayor - Togolese
Alan Hansen - Scottish
David Moyes - Scottish
Robbie Savage - Welsh
Mick McCarthy - Irish
Colin Murray - Irish
English representaives will be:
Gary Lineker
Alan Shearer
Lee Dixon
Martin Keown
Mark Bright
Graham Taylor
Chris Waddle
Danny Mills
To me, there is something rotten in the state of Denmark when more JF's will be offering their "expert opinion" than from the country actually playing.
For example, South Africa will have one Brit, now domiciled in SA, Terry Paine (Southampton & England).
Nigeria only Nigerians
Ghana only Ghanaians
Germany only Germans
Holland only Dutch
Argentina only Argentinians
French only French
Spanish only Spanish
And so it goes on. How can the Beeb justify this imbalance, or if you prefer, bias, against English pundits. I for one don't care what any Jock says about my team. They are jealous to the point of warlike and hate the English with a passion. Do I want to hear Jurgen's opinions if we get to play Germany?
With Sky filling their team with an acceptable number of blonde bimbos, I may be forced to watch the World Cup on ITV. But that means suffering the two great big occasion spongers Jim Rosenthal and Steve Ryder.
What is a fan to do?
Any side that hasn't got Andy Gray gets gets my vote

Golly what a lineup. Thats a bigger entourage than some of the participating teams have. I suppose with that lineup they are going for a wider picture, an international flavour, so that you can see how the other nations are viewing the proceedings. Three Irish guys in there might be overkill, although it could be out of sympathy as we were cheated out of participating by our near neighbours across the channel. I wont hold it against the French though as they are always a delightful team to watch and just a few years ago they were just great when led by Zinadine Zidane. One of the best players ever that guy was.
With regard to ITV...wasnt there something in the news this week that Adrian Chiles will be joining ITV for their sport coverage. That might cheer some people up as he seems to have a connection with the common man.
Quote (not shure from whom) Football was invented to give the working classes a topic of conversation since they are far too inarticulate to talk about the weather.!
Invented by a snotty rugger player old chap. Would we expect anything different from one who plays with odd shaped balls?
Who cares who the pundits are COME ON ENGLAND make it a great summer .

Nothing on the face of the planet could make me watch the World Cup on ITV, nothing at all. It'll have to be the Beeb, although that pundit list is overkill, and then some.
I take the taxpayer will be "footing" the bill? (Sorry if I beat you to it, Colin!)
True friends stab you in the front.
