    It would be nice to be optimistic but its not possible at the moment. Too many people are losing jobs. The car industry is in disarray, the house sales business is in slump, with people laquishing in negative equity, the banks arent lending anything like they used to, so businesses are struggling to either get off the ground or to stay afloat. People arent spending so restaurants are empty and so on and so on..you could go on.

    Yesterday Jaquar/Rover announced they are closing down one of their two major car plants. While yes there may be a green shoot or two it will take quite some time before the effect of the green shoot is felt down at grass root level... if I can put it that way!
