    things rapidly changed this evening, we had a group of 14 year olds drunk out of their heads disperse mercifully quickly, this was followed by a pcso marching purposefully past my house up the hill.

    two teenagers emerged shouting ribald comments at him, so i rushed inside got my shoes on and picked up my mobile phone.

    all disappeared, when i returned the pcso came back down the road, introduced himself as ryan(the new bloke) we had a good chat and it quickly became clear that he already was aware of the problems in the area and had made it his business to talk to the people causing problems.

    i do hope that the new cuts will not affect people like that who make ordinary people feel safer.
