    On the Daily Politics show on BBC2 last week Nick Robinson said that he thought the Tories were [gambling on] attacking the man rather than the policies. Robinson is the beeb's chief political chap and a [former?] Tory party member so is maybe unbiased or confused, either way most would probably agree he mainly tells it as it is.

    I think that we are going endure a year-long election campaign that will be either nasty and personal, or a hard fought and fair struggle. The trouble is that it will probably be both, depending on your point of view.
