So there I was strollning through the precinct this morning when a lady in her car beeps me out of the way. As she started to drive past the bollards towards Bob's barrow a pedestrian waved at her to turn right. However, she waved at him and audibly shoo'd him out of the way and continued towards the town hall, Realising her mistake, and a six point turn later, she made her way back. Again a pedestrian tried to direct her left down the side road but she would have none of it and carried on! Ah, such single mindedness.

Well captured Terry...you were the man on the spot again. Some drivers cant be told. When you cross the road at that point you most certainly arent expecting anyone coming at you with a car from that direction.
Gulp! it could frighten the stiffening sinews so it could!

just cctv would have been sufficient.
a quick fine, point or two on the licence would ensure that the driver paid more attention next time.

maybe i have got it wrong, but i thought that certain motoring offences if, caught on camera, could be sorted by a fine in the post, cutting out lal the court stuff.

Too many people drive up Cannon Street and Biggin Street from the Market Square when they're not even supposed to have gone in the Market Square in the first place.
I understood that the CCTVs are manned, which means someone should be watching them, if that's the case, they should be directing a parking services person down there or a Town beat bobby.
Worst offenders are "non-English" people, I've seen a few parked cars with people chatting to people from the Best Kebab House.
Either they don't understand the rules, or just don't care; if they were fined a couple of times, they'd care.

That's fair enough Keith, I've only seen non-English and most congregate around the Best Kebab.
I'm surprised the CCTVs don't pick them up.
