All these comments about whether we should or shouldn't have passed the big-screen at the Planning Committee and whether it will be a benefit or not to Dover, I thought it may be useful, as you are talking about "backwoodsmen" and "drag-their-feet backward-looking padlock-pursed frowning self absorbed politicians", that ALL the Conservative Councillors voted for it (I must admit at first I had big reservations about it, but the more I found out (by asking questions), the more I came to think it would be good for Dover) and ALL the Labour Councillors voted against it - odd really, but there you go.
I must agree that it is making a real mess down in the Market Square and can't be doing those nearby businesses any good whatsoever - hope it will when it's working.
