    Paul, some years back a potentially major investor in Dover was told the building he wanted to restore required a feature to be put back to it's original height. He did his research and found the original height and requested confirmation from the Planning Dept., that this is what they required.

    They were shocked, as they were expecting something half the height.

    Begged the question, why did they ask for something they hadn't done their homework on? Answer, incompetence.

    There are other examples I know of, and I'm nothing to do with the place or the people there. No smoke without fire as they say.
