I am sure that a number of forumites of a Deal disposition will join me in wishing a speedy refurbishment and return to business for über-popular Deal pub Bohemian, known universally as The Boho, which was gutted by fire yesterday. Mercifully no-one was hurt.
The landlord, Buzz, is a really hardworking guy with a great knowledge of food and drink and the smart money is on The Boho rising like the proverbial Phoenix form the ashes.

i read about that, been past there a few times but not been in there.
let's hope that it can be restored to how it was before the fire.

Yes, I wish him all the best as well, although I have to say it was better as the Antwerp with lilla & Charlie, sorry Buzz!!

reference to the "antwerp" reminds me that the "bohemian" was on the "where is it " thread and the person that got it right referred to its old name.
i might be wrong but i think it was sarah.

That's terrible, I hope the damage isn't too bad. I've been in there a few times. I wonder how it started.
If they serve food it was me

Heard it was started by a cigarette butt in a bin behind the bar.

Cheers for the post, Andy Stucken.
The Boho is the best pub in Deal, bar none, with the hardest-working and most professional landlord in the business, Buzz Burrows. The Boho encapsulates the very best of Deal.
Sign up to the new group at facebook.com/thebohemianresurrection and let's get the place open again for Buzz and his great bunch of staff and punters asap.
Cheers,
Andy

Andrew.
Totally agree. I was not knocking Buzz or the Boho, just saying the Antwerp holds lots of memories for me
Wish him the best and I am sure it wont be long before he is up and running again, plenty of support.

No probs, Gary.
Seems it was an electrical fault, according to the East Kent Mercury report.
