I used to shoot competitively at Bishopsgate Police Station some years back. The range, in the basement of the station was quite extensive and included glass cabinets displaying various types of firearm taken in the course of solving crimes. There were also displays of foreign pistols, including Mauser, Luger and a Magnum!
When the law changed, these had to put out of sight and into a non-firing situation even thoughg they were in lockable cabinets in the secure firing range in the basement of a Police Station.
Tell me that isn't stupid and why?
Life for many legitimate gun clubs and gun owners was made intolerable, but we still haven't dealt with the illicit gun culture. To me, that makes an ass of the law and it should be repealed..
