    There has been much discussion in Jersey with the break up of schools about anti social behaviour.Its 'pandemic' to use a popular phrase at the moment, on the streets in the UK.

    Although its easier to monitor and control in St Helier the main town in Jersey than in Dover what I have noticed as a recent arrival to the island is a very high profile police presence on the streets during the busy shopping hours and late night drinking hours.

    A mobile police presence parked up in the market sq most Thurs,Fri and saturday evenings would not go amiss in Dover. similar to the old days when the MP's were parked up arresting drunken soldiers.
