12:1229715It has just been reported that GB will meet Cameron and Clegg for a televised debate.
Should make interesting if not very informative viewing.

14:0029717Its taken him long enough to make up his mind.
It would not surprise me if his rather weak backbone did not turn to jelly between now and the election, changing his mind.

Thats a bit harsh.I never speak in such terms about your beloved leader whose brother,Alex, I know quite well. Brown and Cameron are both committed politicians who genuinely feel that they can make a difference to this countrys future.Just because you disagree with Browns policies does not afford you the right to attack him so.
I will bet you a £10 to the charity of your choice that Brown goes ahead with the televised debate. Are you up for it big boy?

17:0729734Brian - you really should check on your facts, the truth is it is the other way around....
Marek - I hope you are right and would be pleased to be wrong and donate £10 to cancer. Your on. I have little faith in the integrity and courage of our weak and inept Prime Minister.

17:1829736I do not think that the P.M. should go ahead with this ,Has worked very hard over the years, the ones that run him down have never been in office,we can all sit back and say what we would have done, but as I very well know saying and doing are not the same.He is at this time the leader of the U.K. and should not lower that high office down to a debate on T.V. with others who have never been in the position and all they are out to do is make out what he has done over the years as wrong he should be above all that. And what makes me think is if the blues had been in office over the last five years would we all be looking at taking their heads off as well,I think we would we all know alot what has happen was out side the box and would have happen to any of the partys in office at that time., but he was the man and he has done his best and i am not a red,but feel we should all stand by him at this time. What I can see of the blues is one thing and one thing only get rid of Mr Brown and the reds,it does not matter if he is right or wrong just get rid of him,and if they do what then? Will things change overnight and all will be well, I think not.

17:5029744vic has a good point here, running the country is a serious and complicated business, not necessarily the job of a good chatter.
if winning tv arguments was so important, jeremy paxman would be prime minister.

part of what you say is correct, and i think the 3 leaders meeting/debate will be sa bore and achieve little but gordon is showing he is up there with them
a true believer and i think he will probably come out of it best, moire so if cameron shows himself up by just attacking our gordon
to me gordon has nowt to lose, but a lot to gain

19:4029759Because they do it over there does not mean we have to do it overhere, and also it does not mean to say they are right to do so.

20:1529765the US has a low turnout at presidential elections, hardly an endorsement.
besides they vote for a president and a congressional party seperately, we have just one vote, for an honourable member.

09:1729796Please let us remember our anger about expenses and the hole it tore in the esteem (and self esteem) of our national reps across the party barriers. Exposed as shady ba****ds, malingerers, duplicitous clowns and arrogant egotists - remember them as such.
