12:1037279I think it is up to three unless there is a wheele chair on board Then it would be one .The space is quite clearly marked and anyone sitting in the front seats should give them up so the pushchairs can be placed out of the gangway .The pushchairs should be tucked away so people can move freely .I know some times the girls /men do not always ensure the gangwaysare clear .They have every right to board the bus and the driver should ensure for health and safety that there is no obstruction .

12:3437280The problem is Brian that ALL passengers can be belligerent at times. Mostly, those will pushchairs/buggies will tuck them in properly. However there is always the exception.
I was getting on a Unibus at Canterbury a few weeks ago. It was one of the old Volvo Olympians (as sometimes on the 89 route here in Dover). It has two steps up and no space for buggies. A lady with a large double buggie tried to get on. The driver asked where she was going, and when told, he suggested that she got the Route 4 at the next stand. This was a new Enviro 400 with no steps and buggie space. She immediately complained that the bus company were discriminating against young mothers.
Most passengers obey the rules but some will always be difficult, even sticking their feet out and making it nearly impossible to get to the back of the bus.
You can't please all of the people all of the time.

. BRIAN, I used the bus regularly all summer last year with being off sick. I noticed that only 3 buggies were allowed on at a time, and frequently, a buggy was refused as it would block the gangway. As you can imagine, it was always down to which driver was on. That was the Whitfield bus.

20:3937336Yes it does look like a shelter - I think it needs an oldie to answer (but I would imaging late 70s with the Jubilee Way)
