    No, Barry. In all Dover District faces a 5% reduction. That is a global figure, some businesses will face increases while others will get reductions. There certainly is not an overall 30% increase for businesses as such but it is possible that an individual business might face such an increase offset by others getting reductions (the latter will not say too much while those increasing will shout about it, human nature). Any large increases and reductions are phased in over 5 years.

    The business rates are based on rental vaues generally not capital values.
