    This was a very important news item from the PCC and will affect Dover very much.

    I would be concerned about the cruise business, but hopefully many U.K. and USA and other English speaking cruise passengers will still prefer Dover to Calais.

    It was also announced that SeaFrance would stop taking any foot passengers other than large groups.

    We must work very hard and make some very brave decisions over the next few years, if only to stand still.

    Big, strategic decisions need to be taken by the big important people, but there is much work on the ground that needs to be done and leaving it to some of the bodies like Dover Pride, is just not on.
