    Barry, I am well aware that there are Legal Officers which leaves my question 'what were the questions that needed almost £50,000 of legal advice'?.

    These people are supposed to be working for me/us. I/we should be told what our money is being spent upon.

    I am not dealing with some Government Department where quite rightly they operate on a need to know basis,

    I am dealing with a District Council who are singularly incapable of fulfilling their core responsibilities clearing ice off pavements, providing toilets, taking away my household rubbish and the other urban housekeeping stuff that they should be doing and which I pay them for with my Council Tax, and instead spend their time on jollies to research and committees to discuss grandiose and ill thought out schemes beyond their remit and collective capability.
