The Prince of Wales pier is indeed DHB as one would expect. We have discussed the cafe on the end on previous occasions on the forum. There used to be a rather spectacular one, built by DHB, which surrounded the lighthouse on the end of the pier. Unfortunately, a ferry destroyed this when attempting to round the end of the pier during exceptionally bad weather. Sadly, the replacement is much more mundane and does not give the same views as the old one.
The photo below was taken the next day. I copied it from somewhere, probably from here the last time the subject was raised, so if anybody recognises it please let me know so I can attribute it or stop using it!
