  At present, that is what we do, my poor old decrepit husband has to heave them up the stairs, a couple of times a week and indeed they are heavy. This is sufficient for the smaller buggies but as I said, I was told that this is not enough for the bigger ones, and also, you cannot remove the batteries on these.
