Gillian Abseils for a Great Cause
Professional Massage Therapist and Hairdresser Gillian Smissen will abseil from the top of the seven storey Fisher Tower at Christ Church University, Canterbury, at 9.00am on Sunday 10th November. She is raising funds for the KM Charity Team in association with the Harmony Therapy Trust. The trust provides therapy for those living with cancer and other serious life altering conditions including MS, ME Parkinsons and MND. She is currently working with patients from the Trust providing a number of different massage therapies.
Gillian has been in her new 'state-of-the-art' premises at 16 Castle Street, Dover for six months now. She has always tried to give something back to the local community raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy by hosting many Professional Hair & Beauty events at various venues in Dover including The Best Western Churchill Hotel where she had her Regatta Hair Salon for many years.
She has achieved great success since opening her new salon in Castle Street. The Ramada Hotel have appointed Gillian as their Official Bridal Hair & Make-up Specialist, which also includes a variety of massage therapies. Also a local company send their staff to her each month for a Swedish Massage to help maintain a healthy work balance and lifestyle.
The Harmony Therapy Trust has a 'Just Giving' link on their website, Gillian is also looking for direct sponsorship for this well deserving charity. If you would like to donate please contact Gillian by giving her a call on 01304 800108 or text 07976 372860.
