  Thanks everybody. Yes, she has rented the little unit at the back for the last two or three months and was doing up furniture and selling some of it as Shabby Chic, which she enjoyed doing, but sales were sporadic to say the least. Going to try a different avenue now with ladies clothing. Give it a go for an initial year and see if it takes off. She has run numerous ventures in the past, including a couple of B&B's in Blackpool, a couple of pubs in Kent, catering in Care Homes, etc, so she knows what she is doing. Dover is not the easiest place to start a new venture but fingers crossed it all goes well for her!
