I see that the "picnic area" next to Morrisons is becoming an art project.
Perhaps my friend Pam could give us more detail.

About time something was done with that area, it would have made a great outside seating extension to Morrisons cafe.
Still in that area.
I see the rails along Maison Dieu have been hit and bent again just a little along from the lights by the last damaged area.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Yes, Jan. A car crashed into the railings about 8am this morning. There was a fair amount of traffic about then so god only knows how the driver managed to pick up enough speed to cause such impact. Idiot driver. I don't think any pedestrians were hurt.

Thanks Paul, luckily not many school children are around at that time, quite a few of the railings as well as the concrete holding them were damaged.

The chap that demolished my front wall and gate a while back then managed to damage those railings mentioned above, also early morning. He fled the scene and was surprised when he arrived home to see the police waiting for him.

The orange temporary fencing has now gone, so at least the path feels a bit more open.

I am afraid that in its present condition, appreciation for the" artistic element" or even visual attractiveness is totally lacking. So many weeds and still the bin has not been replaced. Sorry to say so, as I applaud any improvement, but positive thoughts escape myself and a number of visitors to the Morrisons cafe area and passers by if comments , inadvertently overheard, are to be considered. The majority are negative or worse. Sadly I have run out of positive "come backs" in reply. Please, somebody, give me a positive update.

When that garden was was opened a few years back it was a great photo opportunity for our Town Councillors but that was the extent of their interest it seems. The spring lock gate never gave the impression that people were welcome to sit in there. Hopefully the art installation will be worth waiting for.

Tree has been uprooted in the Morrision's garden landing on the mesh fencing.
