It is probably more complex than it appears - business usually is! I don't know the guy, and he sounds a bit of s prince, but business relationships are a muddly and complex affair! Business failures and even criminal proceedings aren't the disqualification to achievement they once were, and most grown ups recognise that "stuff happens".
