    I am certainly all for the mines having been kept open, but I think we are beyond going back - shafts are flooded, land sold off, railway links severed..

    GaryC - have you been in touch with NAMHO - National Association of Mining History Organisations (http://www.namho.org) to get the cause out to some knowledgable people over the country ?
