When I was a kid I read those magazines as did nearly everyone. Television wasnt commonplace and much of our entertainment was simple.I was desperate to get my hands on one of those guns, I kid you not, even under the age of 10. My mother was having none of it and this was in Ireland too !!...whats wrong with having a gun thought I? there all doing it!!
But no, my mother stoodfast to her miserable anti-gun position and I remained gun free, much to my disappointment. I had to make do with marbles or some other trivia. Sigh.. it remains one of my great regrets.
