Ah, no they won't. That comment is the typical comment that most PC users express towards Mac users, "viruses will find you soon.."

Viruses are useless on the Mac's vastly superior OS. The OS is very secure and most viruses can do very little (if any) real damage to anything. When you think of it, there are millions of Mac users out there with NO virus protection whatsoever - brilliant targets for nasty virus writers. So where are all the viruses? Simple answer, it ain't worth the time trying to develop one. Virus writers don't only stick to Windows users because of the massive market share, they stick with it because Windows is so deeply flawed and easy to exploit.

Mac anti-virus software only performs one task, it scans and disables potentially dangerous files that MIGHT be accidentally passed onto PC users. For example a dodgy email attachment might go through a Mac and end up on a PC. Other than that, they are pointless on Mac.

And I cannot possibly tell you how bloody liberating it has been!!!

Anyway I'm glad you agree with how easy it was to set up. When I first set mine up, it came out the box, I connected up to the web and other devices, and was ready to go in under 15 minutes. My average Windows set-up could run into hours of sodding around!
