Congratulations to Blackpool FC on their promotion to the Premiership; many of you who know me will know of my connections to the Fylde Coast area, and from that stems a loyalty to Blackpool FC......well, yesterday's Championship Play-Offs final was an absolute classic and even though I have a declared bias, I'd like to say that it was one of the best games of football I've seen in a long, long time (so much better than the over-hyped Champions League final) with a result I'm so pleased for the town over. I know how much it means to many up there.
£90m, the net prize for winning yesterday, is a huge sum of money. If sport can warrant that kind of money being paid out to winning clubs, then I'm glad that a team like Blackpool has won it. Out of top flight football since 1971 and the days of Jimmy Armfield, Bloomfield Road will be an exciting place to visit next year and I'm really looking forward to doing so. Massive congratulations to Ian 'Olly' Holloway and his underrated players on a job really well done.

Lovely to see Blackpool promoted, I was rooting for them in all their play off games. I really fear for them next season in the bear pit that is the Premier League, I don't remember a less equipped club reaching that high in the pyramid, Burnley were minnows last season and Blackpool are small compared to them. I would love to be wrong but it could be a long winter.

Andy, I hope they turn the lights on early for them. They should create some football illuminations to celebrate. Hope to be back up there again this year for a break.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.
