Connaught Barracks -The future
- 14 November 2008 18:199199First public participation event held today at the Barracks. Some Forumites present in different guises.
Fort Burgoyne aroused a great deal of interest.
Tomorrow is an Open Day session although I understand people had to pre-register.
Only able to attend morning session, but what I saw was well organised & gave people ample opportunity to express their views on how development should take place.
Watty - 14 November 2008 18:499204Thanks for keeping us informed Paul, now I understand that the regeneration that the Town needs is so much is more like a jigsaw puzzel,it is desperatly slow and we need to know that those projects when they do move,move properly.This Town doesn't need quick fixes and bodgy ups.If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

- 14 November 2008 18:589207Yes full marks to english partnerships for that event - was very useful = a lot of work needed by everyone - thank goodness we arent having the prison any more - i made a plea for them to stop calling it a barracks and call it something that would attract investment.
