For some reason DDC have been keeping a low profile on it. I knew about it weeks ago and even sent a poster to LRCF members. I'll email one to PaulB, he may like to put it up.

Not a low profile Terry. With so many events over the last weekend its best to wait a bit .Dont worry everything is in hand.Remember our budget was small and the officer concerned has worked hard getting the displays etc.

Howard,
I could fill your window, do you want some more, we have the Junior Chess Festival on the 19th July 10am Dover Boys Grammar School, on the 27th and 28th July we have the Kite Festival at Astor Avenue playing fields, opposite boys grammar, then the Regatta 3rd and 4th August, Pet Show and Horticultral Show on the 17th August, so quite a busy month ahead, also this Thursday, there is a Carnival on the pier, starting at 5pm, with the naming of the largest passenger ship

On a similar theme Sheila, the good people in Maison Dieu House don't need vertical blinds!

Agreed Sue, a fabulous day, one of the best so far, we really enjoyed it as a family. Well Done to all and especially to you Sue you worked so hard and you looked a picture in your Victorian dress.

Oops, it seems to have gone up twice
my daughter and grand-daughter went to the Connaught park anniversary and enjoyed the time they were there and said it was well attended,I understand they had just fed the rose beds with a well known horse by-product which led to an authentic country aroma which was voiced by my grand-daughter (5yrs)POO whats that smell ,she was closer to the truth than she knew.

A great day out for the family, my own loved it, so well done Sue for all your (and the DDC officers) hard work. It is just a pity that all anyone can talk about today is the stench of the manure, who's stupid idea was it to put that down on Friday with a family event booked straight after?
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

I heard it was a good day up there, hadnt heard about the muckspreader initiative until now lol!!
