I wasn't trying to make play areas a political point Howard, but John mentioned that the Tories are running down play areas and then closing them, I just wanted to put the record straight as to why play areas are having their play equipment taken away.

The £100,000 has been talked to death on here many times; the main reason it isn't available anymore, is because no one could come up with a good location for a play area (still can't), so the money got spent elsewhere.

I still believe the Clarendon play area satisfies the greatest need, but the only money that will play for equipment will be section 106 money.
