Have you seen it in recent months? We take our dog there sometimes but not for a while until yesterday. It was always a mess, overgrown shrubs and bushes across the paths, leaves everywhere etc. But we found out that there is now a dedicated man there that looks after it and boy what a difference he has made, seemingly single handed!
I am not sure who his employer is (DDC or contractor), but they should be made aware of his efforts. Credit where it's due.

One of the better things DDC have done was to take parks and public gardens back in house, overall our open spaces look a lot nicer.

Well if this is as a result of that, I couldn't agree more! I think I will take a mo to write to DDC and tell them what I think of this chaps efforts then.

I get up to Connaught fairly regularly and I've always found it tidy. Perhaps sometimes the pond looks a bit sorry. Took this on 1 July during the dry time:

A voluntary group was set up 5 years ago and DDC provided the plants, I don't know if they are still going.

Who remembers this from 5 years ago? Many familiar faces there.

Great afternoon wasn't it? So many familiar faces that are not members anymore. Colette and posh Barry did all the planning I seem to remember.
